Project Name: “Jagoron” project funded by SOS Children’s Village Worldwide (CVW), with technical support from SOS Children’s Village International in Bangladesh.

Number of Position: 03

Location: CARE Bangladesh Gazipur Hub Office and Khulna Regional office

Duration: Duration of the contract will be up to November 30, 2026.

Scope of Work:

The Trainer – Soft Skills will play a vital role in the implementation of the Jagoron Project. The Trainer will be pivotal in delivering the capacity-building interventions that form the foundation of this transformative project. They will facilitate factory-based training sessions for youth on soft skills, leadership, communication, and negotiation. The Trainer will be responsible for developing training schedules and helping individuals build essential non-technical, interpersonal, and behavioral skills required to succeed in the workplace and in life.The Trainer will also be responsible for maintaining close communication with the Job Placement Officer and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination. Additionally, they will prepare and submit training reports, update training-related data in the MIS, and implement participatory and practice-oriented training.

 

II. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Training Organization and Facilitation:

30%

  • Develop training plans, schedules, and logistics.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions on various soft skills topics, such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and time management.
  • Utilize effective instructional techniques, including presentations, group discussions, role-plays, case studies, and experiential learning activities.
  • Design and develop comprehensive soft skills training programs aligned with the project’s objectives and the needs of the target audience.
  • Conduct aspiration workshops and coordinate aptitude testing to help identify suitable career pathways

 

Responsibility # 2: Coordination and Communication:

25%

  • Liaise with the project team and SOS to establish an effective mechanism for information sharing, updates, and reporting.
  • Support the Project Manager and other project management colleagues by submitting timely and accurate training data and information as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, networks, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration, create synergies, and leverage resources.
  • Maintain close communication with the Job Placement and Capacity Building Officer.

 

Responsibility # 3: Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting:

30%

  • Support the conduct of pre-training and post-training assessments to measure knowledge and skill development among participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion rates, and participant progress in the project Management Information System.
  • Prepare and submit timely training-related reports to the Project Manager (Soft Skills) and contribute to monthly and quarterly project reporting.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices for knowledge management and communication purposes.
  • Collect and incorporate participant feedback to continuously improve training content, methodology, and delivery approaches.
  • Support baseline and endline data collection activities and contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Participate in project reflection meetings, quarterly reviews, and learning workshops to share experiences and contribute to adaptive management.

 

Responsibility # 4: Strengthen Partnerships:

20%

  • Collaborate with training partners, private sector networks, and local government institutions for employment initiatives.
  • Engage employers in co-designing demand-driven training modules and internship programs.
  • Represent the project in coordination forums, public–private dialogues, and youth employment networks.
  • Ensure alignment of project interventions with national TVET and employment policies.

 

General Responsibilities on Safety and Security, and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

5%

As part of this role, the job holder must adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties and comply with safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Staff must maintain situational and self–awareness and be aware of the safety – security-related consequences of their actions upon themselves, their team, and the organization.

  1. Qualification:
  • Masters in Social Sciences, Education, Economics or   equivalent with a combination of qualifications and practical experience in relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of training delivery experience, preferably in delivering soft skills training programs.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement training programs, including field-level training plans.
  • Strong facilitation skills to engage and inspire participants during training sessions.
  • Experience in using a variety of training techniques, tools, and resources to create an interactive and impactful learning environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
  • Experience in conducting training needs assessments and designing customized training programs.
  • Strong commitment to accountability, social justice, promoting gender awareness and equality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
  • Ability and willingness to work in stressful situation and travel away from home and stay in the field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels both inside and outside organization on issues that could be complex or sensitive in nature.
  • Strong communication skill in both verbal and written in English and Bangla.

Compensation

 

Monthly consolidated salary: BDT. 40,000.00
