Scope of Work:
The Officer- Job Placement and Career Services for Youth will lead efforts to facilitate job placements, career guidance, and entrepreneurship support for youth graduates of the program. The position will establish strong partnerships with the private sector, coordinate job fairs and recruitment drives, and ensure continuous follow-up to improve youth employment outcomes. The role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with strong networking and coordination skills.

II. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Develop and Maintain Private Sector Linkages:

- Identify and engage potential employers, industry associations, and chambers for employment opportunities.
- Establish MoUs or partnership frameworks with private companies for internships, job placements, and on-the-job training.
- Organize job fairs, exposure visits, and industry dialogues to connect youth with employers.
- Collect and analyze labor market information to align project training with market demand.

Responsibility # 2: Facilitate Job Placement and Career Services:
|

- Support youth in developing job readiness skills including CV writing, interview techniques, and workplace ethics.
- Maintain a placement tracking system to monitor employment outcomes and retention.
- Match trained youth with appropriate job opportunities based on their skills and interests.
- Conduct post-placement follow-up and provide mentoring support to ensure sustainable employment.

Responsibility # 3: Promote Youth Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment:
|

- Identify potential youth entrepreneurs and provide business development guidance.
- Facilitate linkages with financial institutions, start-up accelerators, and business incubation hubs.
- Organize entrepreneurship development workshops, business plan competitions, and mentoring sessions.
- Coordinate with market actors to strengthen value chain opportunities for youth-led enterprises.

Responsibility # 4: Strengthen Partnerships and Coordination:
|

- Collaborate with training partners, private sector networks, and local government institutions for employment initiatives.
- Engage employers in co-designing demand-driven training modules and internship programs.
- Represent the project in coordination forums, public–private dialogues, and youth employment networks.
- Ensure alignment of project interventions with national TVET and employment policies.

Responsibility # 5: Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning:
|

- Maintain updated records of job placements, self-employment cases, and partnerships.
- Support M&E in collecting quantitative and qualitative data related to youth employment outcomes.
- Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned to improve future programming.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and contribute to donor or management updates.

General Responsibilities on Safety and Security, and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

- Qualification:
|
- Master’s Degree in sociology, social work, anthropology, women’s studies, or other related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in skill development and job replacement programs for youths.
- Possess experience in bolstering innovative business models centered around the creation and exchange of intellectual assets within the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and related industries.
- Demonstrate proficiency in crafting a deployable human resource pool for designated trades by enhancing job-readiness factors.
- Capable of facilitating youth participation in pertinent industries, particularly focusing on female and disadvantaged group engagement through targeted training, provision of career information and advice, and enhancing employer hiring processes especially in EZs, EPZs, IZs, HTPs, and STPs.
- Proficient in establishing connections between the youths and the business community by leveraging the mentors for the provision of career advice and guidance.

Compensation
Monthly consolidated salary: BDT. 80,000.00
